Jostens Yearbook

Jostens approached Cirrena late October 2015 for a new software development project to present in the national sales conference in Las Vegas last January 2016. They wanted to revolutionise the sales experience for their sales representatives. The idea was to use a drag-and-drop interface for their Stoles and Regalia designs, uploaded with patterns, colours, and mascots to create visual content in real time.

Jostens’ goal was to build cutting-edge software projects to be distributed to 2000+ schools in the USA.
The custom application needed to use UI & UX Design, Javascript, and HTML 5 with drag-and-drop capability.

The Challenge

Jostens wanted to have a custom UI and UX yearbook software. The requirement is to make
it user-friendly for students, parents, and club members.

The Solution

We developed new user-interface methods and techniques, incorporating drag and drop features. This can make the users design and customize their rings like a pro.

We also added a wide selection of styles, stones, metals and personalization options that allow users to customize a ring as unique as their memories.

We now present the UI and UX yearbook software for Layout Pro. It is a web-based visual designer software that allows users to design their own Stoles and Regalia. We also added an augmented reality Ring Builder. This platform is a full-suite tool to help users visualise their amazing products and boost their sales.

Ad Creator

Along with the yearbook design, Cirrena also created a dynamic ad creator tool for Jostens’ yearbook. The ad creator feature lets the parents and students customise their book where they can upload photos and book templates and easily submit it for check out to a payment engine.

The design and UX/UI usability went through an interactive process, user testing, and use case scenarios. Building different versions of the prototype and testing it together with Jostens’ team made the project effective and quick to create.

Summary

As a result, this yearbook designer platform helped increase their sales. Jostens is currently rolling this platform live to its large school client base this year with further innovations planned in the future.
